THE COMB-OVER

The comb-over hairstyle combines the slickness of the 60s with a modern, urban edge. With tapered sides, a deep parting and a smooth top, the comb-over hairstyle will add extra attitude to any look.

A slight variation on the side parting, the comb-over fade goes just as well with a biker jacket and jeans as it does with a vest and slacks.

Use a little Axe Clean Cut Look Classic Pomade and comb backwards to go for the dapper look. If you feel you are a bit more out there, brush upwards or diagonally for an edgier vibe. Let it suit your personality.

How it began

The history

Slick and sophisticated, the comb-over was huge during the golden age of Hollywood. Every leading man worth his weight in pomade wore this style like uniform. By the 50s and 60s it became the go-to look of Madison Avenue’s ad men.
